Teen Cuisine is a no-cost, interactive nutrition education program that teaches grades 6th to 12th important life skills to promote optimal health – both in the present and in the future. Each lessons involves a food demonstration, key nutrition concepts, food safety techniques, and the importance of physical activity. The program is evidence-based and funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Each lesson is 1hr and consist of the following topics:  

  • Eat Smart
  • You Are What You Eat
  • Power Up with Breakfast
  • Find the Fat
  • Watch Out for Added Sugars
  • Snack Attack

*Registration is required. This program is open to Jefferson Parish residents in grades 6th-12th, only.* Limit 25 teens.
